Fillings are the best way to treat teeth with minor-to-moderate decay. By removing the decayed material and filling your tooth with an inert, tooth-colored composite resin, Dr. Kandimalla can restore the natural function and beauty of your smile. At our office, we exclusively use tooth-colored composite fillings so the aesthetics of your smile aren’t affected by treatment. These fillings can be matched precisely to the color of your teeth, allowing for better overall cosmetic results.
Dental crowns are designed to cover a tooth if the structure has been damaged by decay, an injury, or a wide range of other dental issues. We work with a trusted dental lab to create long-lasting, high-quality crowns that protect damaged teeth and restore their natural beauty and function. With proper care, crowns can easily last 15 years or longer.
We fabricate dental crowns from the following durable and long-lasting materials:
Root Canal Therapy
If you have an infected tooth, a root canal is the best way to get out of pain and restore its function. A root canal can save your natural tooth and help eliminate the pain and discomfort of infection.
Dr. Kandimalla has years of experience performing successful root canals, and she can treat both anterior (front) and posterior (molar and premolar) teeth. Even better, she uses the GentleWave® system for comfortable, more efficient root canals.
When compared to traditional root canal therapy, treatment with GentleWave provides numerous benefits including:
- Faster Treatment: The GentleWave process can be completed in one appointment and requires fewer steps and the use of fewer tools.
- Less Invasive: By using fluid to disinfect the tooth instead of bulky tools, less enamel is removed.
- More Effective: Less drilling means we will preserve more of the natural structure of your tooth, keeping it stronger and healthier.
Partial & Full Dentures
If you’re missing one or multiple teeth, we offer both full and partial dentures to restore your oral health and your confidence. Partial dentures attach to your remaining healthy teeth using a plastic or metal framework, and they are designed to replace a limited number of knocked-out or missing teeth.
Full dentures are a good replacement option if you are already missing most or all of your natural teeth. This is because they must fit perfectly around your gums, so any remaining healthy teeth must be extracted before your dentures can be built.
If you are missing teeth, Dr. Kandimalla may recommend that you get a dental bridge, a custom prosthesis featuring a false tooth, or teeth that are securely attached to a crown placed over the natural tooth.
We offer four types of dental bridges:
- Traditional bridges
- Cantilever bridges
- Maryland bridges
- Implant-supported bridges
For a traditional bridge, a false tooth is surrounded by dental crowns on each side. In a cantilever bridge, the false tooth is anchored by a crown on only one side. With a Maryland bridge, also known as a resin-bonded bridge, the false tooth is supported by wings or framework bonding to the surrounding natural teeth. Implant-supported bridges are for patients who love the look of traditional bridges but need extra security.
